Summary:
The Government Banking Client Manager (GBCM) works closely with the Government Banking Relationship Manager(s) across the Huntington Bank footprint, partnering with them to further cultivate existing government relationships. The GBCM is responsible for an assigned portfolio of customers where opportunity to meaningfully expand the scope of services is evident, work closely with bank OCR partners (such as Treasury Management, Insurance, Capital Markets, and others to provide comprehensive solutions to customers), with a particular focus on moving non-Primary Bank Relationships (non-PBR) customers to PBR status. The expectations of the GGCM will be to retain and deepen relationships through consistent value add engagement and generate increased revenue.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Focuses on customer retention and growth by providing consultative advice and solutions to enhance and expand the customer's banking relationship in areas such as, but not limited to, deposits, loans, treasury management, capital markets, investments, and insurance.Responsible for strategic business plan development and revenue generation through customer calling and meeting customer call activity targets.Works closely with customers to understand the business practices and interpret the additional needs.Utilizes the resources of the Government Banking Support team effectively to stay engaged in driving new business and serving client needs.Responsible for coordinating RFP responses.Reviews customer accounts annually.Perform other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalentMinimum of 2 years related experience working with Business/Government clientsPreferred Qualifications:
