Governance, Quality & Risk Manager
Reports to: Site Director
Overview:Responsible for the overall Risk, Quality, and Compliance agenda for the Amherstburg Site!
Purpose of Role:
Identify, mitigate, and manage risks inherent on the site to protect our brands, people, and business.Key focus on developing the skills and capabilities necessary for ensuring compliance with government legislation and Diageo Policies and StandardsLead the key Governance strategies for the site including Zero Harm, HACCP, and ISO accreditationInternal Auditing site facilities and operations to identify and quantify risks involved and implementing robust action plants to eliminate and mitigate the risksActive participant on the Site Leadership Team, helping to provide strategic direction for the site, grow the capabilities of the workforce, and deliver critical metrics in LTA, PPM Defect, OEE, and Schedule AdherenceLead the efforts of the site to deliver key projects such as Line Strategy, the COGS challenge, and the Innovation Portfolio safely, and right first timeRole Responsibilities:
Strategic direction of Risk, Quality, and Compliance for the Amherstburg SiteTracking and report of Governance critical metrics (Risk, Quality, Environment)Roll out and embedding of key safety, quality, and environmental programs including Zero Harm, Life Saving Rules, HACCP, and ISO throughout site processesInternal audit against GRMS and NA StandardsLTO IA and Quality leadershipSupplier Auditing / Supplier CI Team LeadImplementation of Systems based upon IS, HACCP, GRMS, and NA Quality ManualDriving continuous improvement and technical capabilitiesDrive identification of cost-effective improvementsSupplier Quality Coordination and ManagementLeading all aspects of the Quality Revolution -GFPS, HACCP, ISO, holds, reworks, improving quality process and proceduresEnsure that business contingency plans are in place for the site and that they are adequately tested to provide business continuityAssuring completion of corrective action plans to address audit findings, improvement opportunities, customer, and consumer complaintsEffective two-way communication of plant needs, concerns, and progress across all levels of the organizationKey Responsibilities:
Keep workspace clean and organized Ensure the standard of housekeeping and image are maintainedComply with all Occupational Health and Safety requirements and legislationMust follow company’s Good Manufacturing Practices including personal hygiene and all implemented Food Safety and Quality policies, programs and regulationsSupport quality and food safety team to ensure maintenance of the ISO/FSSC/HACCP SystemsManagement Responsibility:
Leads, develops, and provides coaching for Governance team (5 direct reports)Tracking and reporting of Governance critical metrics (Quality, Environment, Risk)Leading the identification, prioritization and timely resolution of safety and quality-related problemsProvide expertise in the application of quality system, diagnostic and improvement toolsWorks closely with members of the leadership team to share information and cooperate in joint improvement projectsQualifications and Experience:
Ability to provide strategic direction and enforce personal accountabilityIn-depth knowledge of quality management and risk management systems.Proven track record of successful processing creation and implementationLeadership of management systems across Quality and Assurance with specific experience in HACCP and ISOISO 9001 & FSSC 22000 trained auditorStrong leadership and relationship building skillsConfidentiality:Responsible to preserve and safeguard all confidential information that comes to their knowledge in the course of employment with Diageo Responsible to observe and follow the policies of the company and applicable legal requirements with respect to confidential information and the protection of privacy.
