The DataPower and API Connect (APIC)/Elastic search Shared Service team is responsible for enabling and securing Ford API and service teams such as Fordpass, Connected Vehicle, Connected Consumer, and GOTD etc. to communicate with consumers, dealers and suppliers via API and web service technologies. The support engineer position is responsible for implementing/testing and supporting DP/APIC gateways and service proxy solutions for Ford external facing apps and services.
The APIC support engineer will be required to:
- Configure/test/deploy/support APIC/DP infrastructure solutions to provide interoperability and security for web services/APIs and mobile applications.
- Coordinate with application teams for production testing/deployment and bug fixes.
- Upgrade/update firmware and infrastructure to keep DataPower technologies and infrastructure up-to-date.
- Manage and renew digital certificates.
- Provide problem resolution, ensure service availability and security

Must Have Skills:
Prior minimum of 2 years application support or development experience Working knowledge/experience in the area of API, web services, network and security Full application / system development lifecycle knowledge and experience Experience in interoperability standards and methods. Ability to work closely with application teams to gather requirements, develop and test solutions Ability to work closely with other infrastructure teams such as Network service team, LBaaS and DNS teams, to ensure infrastructure is configured correctly and running smoothly Experience on API Connect and DataPower is a BIG plus. Knowledge/experience with various authentication/authorization mechanisms including Oauth2, OpenID Connect, WS-Security, ADFS, PKI, DNS, LDAP etc. Good Knowledge in Google cloudNice to Have Skills:
