The Good Housekeeping Ecommerce Editor will be responsible for creating and growing shoppable content across Good Housekeeping and the Good Housekeeping Institute.

About The Role

 

You will:

Set out and execute the ecommerce content strategy for Good Housekeeping. Work with the SEO team to create and grow core ecommerce verticals, identifying content gaps and opportunities. Create and manage the brand’s ecommerce content calendar, working with the Good Housekeeping Institute to ensure products are tested to deadline. Support the Good Housekeeping Institute in launching and growing new ecommerce content verticals.  Write, edit and optimise ecommerce content in line with brand and SEO guidelines across multiple verticals, including home, garden, fashion, beauty and travel.  Coordinate tentpole shopping event coverage – Black Friday, Amazon Prime Day, etc – as well as other seasonal, trend-led and news-inspired shopping opportunities.  Ensure the Good Housekeeping Institute content team and brand content teams are creating optimised ecommerce content by providing training when needed. Work with Good Housekeeping’s social, newsletter and video leads to grow ecommerce content across all audience channels.  Ensure ecommerce commercial opportunities for Good Housekeeping are executed to deadline. Represent Good Housekeeping at external PR events to ensure knowledge of current and future product releases relevant to the brand.

 

About You 

An ecommerce content expert, with proven ability to produce and maintain high-converting articles. Experience creating and executing content plans. Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce engaging, accurate and original content at pace and to deadline. Experience with hands-on product testing and creating original imagery and videos is desirable. Good knowledge of affiliate linking and platforms. Good knowledge of SEO best practice. A strategic mindset with the ability to use analytical tools to implement improvements. Strong knowledge of consumer shopping trends, especially within the home and garden space, and the digital landscape. Experience working with PRs to get the inside scoop on new product launches. Experience using content management systems. Experience using Photoshop. A confident communicator and team player.
