Work Arrangement

This role requires an employee to be onsite on a full time basis.

The Role

Develop and implement media relations strategies to support GM’s business objectives in China and tell GM’s positive stories to a diverse audience

What You’ll Do

Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers through proactive and “show not tell” engagementServe as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate responses in a timely and accurate mannerManage in-house media database and use data analytics to guide relationship management and measure communications’ impactProvide strategic advice to crisis management, ensuring accurate and consistent communications with media

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)​

A bachelor's degree or above in Journalism, Public Relations, or a closely related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in media relations or news reporting on the automotive beatProfound knowledge of China’s automotive industry and media landscapeProven track record of generating earned media coverage and managing high-impact media relationships
