The Position

Global Capital Investment & Real Estate (CIRE) is responsible for providing an efficient, effective and sustainable working environment for 45,000+ employees globally. This is achieved in various ways, including identifying and securing the right real estate solutions, developing forward-thinking  workplace strategies to meet evolving business and functional needs, designing office layouts, constructing facilities, and managing capital expenditure across 106 countries. We are seeking a talented and experienced Global Workplace Strategist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Global Lead for Workplace Experience and be responsible for developing and implementing innovative workplace strategies that align with our organizational goals and enhance the employee experience across our global portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our workplaces are designed to foster collaboration, promote well-being and enable operational  efficiency and growth.

The Opportunity:

As the global portfolio evolves in the hybrid world of work, the Global Workplace Strategist’s role will focus on the following:

Workplace strategy development: develop and implement comprehensive workplace strategies that align with Roche’s goals, enhance the employee experience, and promote efficiency, sustainability and inclusivity.

Stakeholder management: collaborate with key stakeholders, including People & Culture, IT, Facilities Management, and Business Units, to understand their needs and ensure workplace strategies are effectively tailored to various functions and reflect local culture.

Continuous optimisation of global standards & processes: support to establish, optimize and maintain global standards and processes related to workplace experience.

Data analysis & insights: gather and analyse workplace data, including space utilization, lead employee workshops to gather functional requirements, and industry trends, to inform strategy development and strategic decision-making.

Demand analysis: evaluate occupancy and business data to align the real estate footprint with evolving business requirements

Change management & engagement: lead employee-focused engagement and change management initiatives related to workplace transformations, including crafting communication plans, conducting training, and supporting employees to adapt to new work environments.

Vendor and service provider management: support the management of external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality workplace solutions and services, on time and within budget

Innovation & trends: continuously monitor and integrate industry best practices and emerging trends to ensure strategies remain innovative and relevant. 

Who You Are:

Minimum of 7 years of experience and proven track record developing and delivering workplace strategies and workplace analytics.  Experience in a global or multinational company is highly desirable and Fluency in English is a must, second language is a plus

Outstanding communicator with excellent problem-solving capabilities, adept at creatively negotiating demands, and skilled in engaging with key senior stakeholders

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills to interpret data, derive actionable insights and translate complex information into simple visual stories and presentations

Results orientated, business driven, organised with attention to detail, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Innovative and creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Additionally, strong change management skills with a proven track record leading complex transformation projects

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

Knowledge of industry best practices and trends and passion for improving workplace environments and employee well-being with general understanding of current workplace trends
