Global Technology Vendor Product Portfolio Operations Director

As a Product Portfolio Operations Director in the Global Technology Vendor Management Office, you are an expert in creating cross-product synergies. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to innovate on cross product-line coordination, remove barriers to success, and create ways for teams to continuously innovate on solutions-focused products and product features. Our team supports the firm's technology strategy and creates opportunities for efficiencies while providing the oversight necessary to manage GT's multi-billion-dollar portfolio of supplier spend holistically across the dimensions of strategy, cost, performance, relationship, and risk. The Global Technology Vendor Management Product Portfolio Director will lead one or more enterprise initiatives (e.g., Public Cloud, Software as a Service, Vendor Productivity) and partner with cross-functional teams to establish foundational best practices and toolsets necessary for each Global Technology product line to manage their vendor portfolio across the lifecycle of a supplier relationship. This includes technology strategy and research, commercial strategy and transaction execution, and steady-state management, supported by several cross-line-of-business foundational initiatives. The Product Portfolio Director will also collaborate with product lines to develop multi-year commercial strategies in support of the firm's broader technology vision. A strong understanding of technology products, including compute, cloud, networking, database, and security products, is essential for this role. You must possess a commercial mindset and the ability to articulate how business value is delivered through supplier relationships. Additionally, a strong understanding of the technology landscape and the ability to contribute to the development of technology strategies are required. This role demands a strategic thinker with a passion for technology and a proven track record in managing vendor portfolios and supplier relationships across their lifecycle. **Job responsibilities** + Works across products and product lines to help ensure delivery against business objectives + Executes the strategy for reporting and communications to support our portfolio management operations and change initiatives + Oversees and coaches a team to best implement the strategy for adapting and executing the full product-line framework and ensures our core cross-product priorities, sequencing, and trade-offs are realized + Implements portfolio-level tracking of controls, financials, resourcing needs, and key prioritization decisions + Establishes foundational best practices and toolsets necessary for product lines to effectively manage their vendor portfolios throughout the entire lifecycle of a supplier relationship, from technology strategy and research to commercial execution and steady-state management + Collaborates with product lines to define, report on, and advance appropriate risk and performance metrics for supplier relationships, ensuring they drive desired behaviors and align with the firm's broader technology vision + Identifies opportunities for strategic vendor-related savings and tracks them through to execution and recognition by the firm's finance organization, ensuring financial benefits are realized + Supports the maturation and continuous improvement of the Technology Vendor Management Operating Model, ensuring it remains robust and effective in managing supplier relationships + Assesses supplier capabilities, supports commercial events such as Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal, and facilitates benchmarking and scorecarding activities to ensure supplier performance meets organizational standards **Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills** + 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in program management or performance optimization + Proven ability to manage and implement operational effectiveness and portfolio management initiatives + Proven ability to operate within the product development life cycle and agile methodologies + Experience and interest in the area where Technology and Business intersect + Polished written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft polished presentations, articulate key messages to senior management and stakeholders, including contract commercial terms, commitments, and derived value + Experience interacting with and influencing senior decision makers + Excellent organizational and delegation skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities + Procurement or Vendor Management experience working with suppliers, including negotiations, contract terms and conditions, and performance management + Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of technologies which underpin large organizations including compute, cloud, networking, database, and security products + Commercial mindset especially relating to software (both on-premise and Software as a Service), hardware, and cloud **Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills** + Experience in strategy, business management, program management, or consulting + Legal acumen; strong understanding of complex master-level agreements JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
