Global Technical Manager - Biological Crop Protection and Growth Stimulants - USA
Minimum requirements for the role:
A BSc or BAgric degree or diploma or related qualification is preferred but not essential as long as the person has extensive experience working within the crop protection and growth stimulants, bio fertilizers inoculants and adjuvants or related agriculture products. Previous experience managing distributors or agents and working with customers and sales teams is essential. Previous experience having worked as a Technical Manager or related role within the crop protection, bio fertiliser and growth stimulants or related agricultural markets is essential for the role.  Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and global teams. Strong understanding of biological crop protection and growth stimulant technologies is pref. Familiarity with global agricultural practices and regulatory frameworks is preferred but not essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences. Proficient in creating impactful presentations and reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Strategically leading, managing and overseeing all technical strategies, training, data collection, presentations, protocols etc of their products on a global basis working closely with senior management, agronomists, distributors, and customers to drive innovation and market adoption within global subsidiaries South and North America and SA. Overseeing the development and lifecycle management of biological crop protection and growth stimulant products. Collaborating with R&D teams to innovate and enhance product formulations based on market needs and scientific advancements. Conducting comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape. Analysing regulatory requirements in different regions to ensure product compliance and facilitate market entry. Working closely with marketing, sales, regulatory, and supply chain teams to develop and execute product strategies. Providing technical support and training to sales teams, distributors and customers both locally and globally. Strategically planning, developing and implementing global product strategies that align with business goals and customer needs. Creating and managing product roadmaps, ensuring timely launches and market success. Gathering customer feedback to inform product improvements and development. Tracking and analysing product performance metrics, sales data, and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement. Preparing and presenting reports to senior management on product performance and market trends. Providing technical training and distributor support. Planning and presenting technical training sessions to agents and growers. Managing forecasts and planning models to ensure continuous product supply. Developing strategic marketing strategies for the region. Developing and implementing in-field product demonstrations. Investigating, capturing and communicating aspects of key crop production. Identifying key crop, product and market opportunities and threats from competitors. Keeping abreast of market, trade and competitor activities in order to revise strategies to meet changing requirements.
