Global SOX Manager

The Team and Role:

 

This role will report to the Director of NAM Customer Supply Chain Operations, and will coordinate and oversee global SOX compliance for Logitech’s order management related controls.This includes executing risk assessment and scoping, providing guidance on SOX requirements for control and process documentation, obtaining reasonable assurance of the effectiveness of Logitech’s system internal controls over financial reporting through control design and operating effectiveness evaluations, identifying and assessing control deficiencies, risk and change monitoring, and other aspects of the SOX framework to keep pace with changes in the underlying business in support of Logitech’s Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts.

Lead as the Global SOX Compliance subject matter expert working with internal audit, external audit, and regional process owners to help achieve ongoing design standardization, reviewing, testing, improving, and remediating the SOX controls governing revenue

Update and align processes, systems, controls, and policies to industry’s standard and drive remediation efforts for any identified deficiencies.

Drive and facilitate on-going compliance training programs for process and control owners.

Maintain and enhance SOX controls documentation so they reflect the current environment and would comply with SOX compliance, including testing documentation and systems diagrams.

Proactively participate and guide the team in planning, prioritization, and delivery of system enhancements using unified methodologies as well as maintains documentation concerning planning, status, testing results, and other reporting needs.

Conduct risk-based internal audits to determine soundness, adequacy, and application of IT and manual controls including identifying control weaknesses, exceptions, and deficiencies in operations.

Manage the quarter end and year-end internal and external audit, including direct interaction with independent auditors on internal control testing.

Oversee confidential control reviews, special investigations, and other ad-hoc projects including coordination of any investigations performed by external agencies.

 

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

 

More than 5 years prior work experience in a similar role in a tech company
 

SOX Expertise

A deep understanding of SOX requirements, including Sections 302 and 404, is crucial. This includes knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance best practices. 

Internal Control Development and Implementation:
Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust internal controls over financial reporting is vital. This includes understanding control frameworks, risk assessment, and control testing procedures. 

Risk Management and Assessment:
A strong aptitude for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to financial reporting is essential. This involves conducting comprehensive risk assessments, analyzing control effectiveness, and developing mitigation strategies. 

Audit Experience:
Experience with SOX audits and related audit methodologies is highly beneficial. This includes understanding audit procedures, reporting requirements, and working with external auditors. 

Leadership and Communication:
The SOX Manager must be able to lead and manage cross functionally and cross regionally, , effectively communicate with various stakeholders (including senior management, auditors, and other departments)

Project Management and Organizational Skills:
The ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and drive SOX compliance initiatives efficiently is critical. This includes planning, organizing, and executing SOX-related activities effectively. 

Technology and Automation:
Familiarity with relevant technology tools and automation solutions for SOX compliance is advantageous. This includes knowledge of internal control software, data analytics platforms, and automation tools for enhancing control effectiveness. 

Data Protection and Security:
Understanding data protection regulations and security best practices is essential to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of financial data. This includes implementing access controls, data encryption, and other security measures. 

Continuous Improvement and Training:
The SOX Manager should be committed to continuous improvement, regularly reviewing audit findings, identifying areas for enhancement, and developing training programs to raise awareness and improve compliance

International travel periodically, up to 20%

Reports into management structure based in California, USA

 

Education:

 

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

This position offers an annual base salary typically between $ 100,000 and $ 120,000.   In certain circumstances, higher compensation will be considered based on the business need, candidate experience, and skills.
