Global Security Specialist

The Global Security Specialist provides in-depth global security insight to support the security and intelligence function of On Call’s Global Response Center. This role will proactively monitor global threats, assist with emergency medical and travel cases, and provide a variety of training on best security practices. The ideal candidate has the ability to develop client relationships, identify and evaluate large amount of data in order to draw actionable conclusions, and work independently to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, identify, and respond to geopolitical developments, incidents, and trends that could affect the safety and security of On Call International client interests around the world.
• Provide analysis, perspective, and landscape assessments on demand. Monitor open source intelligence channels. Develop and maintain relationships with functional peers, industry experts and intelligence originators.
• Integrate analysis into broader Travel Risk Management functions including traveler education, alert notifications, expatriate safety, event security, threat analysis, and traveler education.
• Maintain up-to-date market trends in intelligence and security through independent research and inquiry. Contribute to industry thought leadership.
• Assist in the utilization and implementation phase of client engagement.
• Provide timely communications and consults to On Call management, client representatives, and security or law enforcement organizations.
• Manage On Call systems and applications. Evaluate, test and ensure quality of systems and processes used within the organization. Troubleshoot issues and provide corrective actions and process improvements.
Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Security, Emergency Management, Business, Journalism, Communications, or related discipline preferred. Relevant work, military, or law enforcement experience will be considered.
Experience
Up to 2 years relevant experience.Experience researching and writing clear and concise briefs in response to complex questions.Experience with mapping software or data visualization platforms.Knowledge of travel tracking and intelligence platforms.Formatting skills, specifically proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.Experience with developing Crisis Management Plans, Emergency Action Plans, or Business Continuity Plans.Overseas work experience preferred but not required.Military, law enforcement, or government background preferred.Tokio Marine HCC Group of companies offers a competitive salary and employee benefit package.
