We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Global Reward Partner, Insurance.
Principal Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for working with the Global Head of PR for IWPB in supporting the delivery of the performance and reward (PR) strategic priorities for IWPB and managing the overall PR agenda for Insurance to enable business performance.
This includes providing expertise and strategic guidance on reward, performance management, executive compensation, deferred reward, global mobility, employee benefits and wellbeing to support the Bank’s strategic objectives and local business priorities.
Principal Accountabilities
Provide leadership and strategic guidance, constructive challenge and technical consultancy on the full spectrum of PR mattersInterpret and advise on PR policies and provide expert guidance to senior management on all elements of PR. Where necessary, liaise with specialist colleagues to seek input on complex matters involving benefits, executive compensation, global mobility, deferred reward and wellbeingLead the annual pay review for the relevant client groupWork with PR colleagues to ensure the successful implementation of PR initiatives, processes and products in line with business objectivesMaintain expert specialist knowledge by keeping abreast of published materials, competitor practice, external market developments and trends and legislative and regulatory developmentsResponsible for developmental activity for junior team members which may include PR Analysts, Operations, Consultants and SpecialistsThe jobholder has responsibility for overseeing and ensuring that operational risks are managed in accordance with the Group Standards Manual, Risk FIM, relevant guidelines standardsMaintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulatorsKey Challenges
The role holder is guided by local laws/regulations in the jurisdictions in which he/she operatesFactoring all relevant labour, taxation, political and cultural issues into PR recommendationsThe changing regulatory requirements relating to compensation, finding the balance between market pressures and commercial considerations Effectively managing stakeholders and ensuring appropriate alignment between local and global practices and requirementsSome careers open more doors than others.
