Managing Director Business Line Robotics Customer Service
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring and developing a global Service portfolio in for the ABB Robotics Business. Contributing to business strategy definition, translate business strategy and market requirements into competitive portfolio and manage associated portfolio planning, investment and development activity. Defining a go to-market model and segment strategy and align with the operational/execution path. You will be mainly accountable for:• Managing global service product portfolio (of software, hardware and services) throughout its whole life cycle, with responsibility for product/system/service profitability.• Develop the service portfolio roadmap further and communicate it within the organization. Lease closely with other Business Lines, R&D and Global Solution Centers to ensure that Design for Service is penetrating the product and system development. • Arrange regular Service portfolio update communication and product launches.• Continuously develop and improve Robotics Customer Service common product management processes, tools, culture, and best practices.• Leading continuous business analysis of the existing portfolio to ensure innovation based on ABBs technology leadership in the industry, including alternative investments and potential partnering options.• Analyzing and tracking global market, technology, competitor and customer requirements and trends related to the product/system/service business and determining competitive attributes, prioritization, and value proposition.• Identifying needs, opportunities and risks and positioning against competition.• Managing challenging customer escalations and nonconformities. Acts as interface connecting customer/external market with internal functions and oversees resolution of customer issues.• Work closely with Robotics Division Product management teams for vertical and horizontal alignment across the Division.• Leading product/system/service and solution strategy creation in Robotics Customer Service. Contribute to business strategy definition and translates business strategy into the service portfolio through market and customer segmentation.• Ensuring the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.• Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.• Incorporate guiding principles for Service portfolio mgmt. of Circularity, Sustainability, Innovation and customer focus in the organization.
Qualifications for the roleBachelors or Masters degree in engineering in any technical discipline.8+ years of experience in Product management, preferrable in a global industrial environment, experience in a service organization is a plus.Deep understanding and interest in Robotics and Automation is an advantage.Proven success in managing global responsibility and global teams.Cultural awareness.Strong stakeholders management on a truly international basis.Proficiency in English language is a must.
