**Job Description**
The MPS Management Systems Office Associate Director will play a key leadership role in driving continuous improvement within the organization, ensuring that all levels of the business challenge the status quo to meet evolving business needs. By deploying and utilizing the MPS (Manufacturing Production System) Management System, the MPS Professional will foster a culture of operational excellence, using lean principles to enhance efficiency and performance across all functions. This role is pivotal in aligning teams with the MPS framework, empowering individuals at every level of the organization to actively contribute to process improvements and achieve business goals.
Reporting directly to the MPS Management Systems Office Director, the MPS Professional will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that advance the MPS Capability System. The position will require close collaboration with senior leaders, plant managers, and cross-functional teams to drive the successful rollout and integration of MPS practices. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of lean methodologies and possess the expertise to coach, mentor, and lead the organization in achieving measurable improvements through structured, continuous learning and application of MPS principles.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Champion a culture of organizational learning across functions, sectors, and geographies by capturing, developing, sharing, and making the best use of knowledge
+ Develop Learning journeys appropriate for adults considering Diversity & Inclusion aspects to support the roll out and expansion of the MPS Management System
+ Continuously improve the MPS Capability System to support effective people development (learning) of MPS across the business
+ Partner closely with GL&D (Directors, Learning Partners, and specialists) to harness their know-how, skills, and company systems to accelerate effective deployment (learning) of GMPS
+ Work with the Advanced MPS Leader to collaborate on extensive benchmarking activity to gain consistent, year on year, intelligence on Lean and MPS activities both within the pharmaceutical industry as well as other industries leading MPS deployment (Automotive etc.).
+ Competency in MPS Management System and standards with ability to coach and develop others to full competency on critical MPS Foundational (Closed Loop Management System) Standards (including GMPS)
+ Lead Site/Above Site improvement activity and systemize new applications/works within the MPS Management System, Standards and MPS Capability System.
+ Report to Senior Management (both within & external to GMPS) milestones based on appropriate scenario and coordinate flexibly according to environment & situation changes to achieve the business needs
+ With support, carry out MPS Assessments within the business & report out the results (localized & globally)
+ High level of Change Management Expertise enabling coaching and development of others to ensure all MMSO activities include appropriate change management (SRF) our Company methods and risk mitigation approaches. Support all areas of the Business with Change Execution Management guidance no matter what the program content.
+ Actively support and participate in the GMPS operating model and contribute to its consistent improvement
+ Proactively willing to develop self and own capabilities
+ Partner with, and influence without formal authority, functional leaders, plant managers and their leadership teams including GL&D.
+ Able to engage sponsors and clients, lead major changes, and effectively coach senior leaders.
+ Competent in all critical MPS Foundational (Closed Loop Management System) Standards, Lean tools and techniques associated with MPS Management System to diagnose, analyze and improve business processes. Provide teaching and coaching to effectively transfer Lean skills, at all levels within the organization, in line with the MPS Capability System.
+ Experience applying consultative skills: ability to influence decision making, ability to interact with all levels of the business (senior leaders to shop floor working teams, incl. Global Learning Partners), project management skills (demonstrated experience in managing large teams), proven team building skills, exceptionally good listening skills, results oriented, strong analytical skills.
+ Proactively recognize and mitigate barriers to cross-functional initiatives and can act as an intermediary across divisional, geographical, and cultural boundaries as well as manage teams to mitigate risk, allocate resources, and drive on time completion of initiatives.
+ Build trust and develop new relationships with internal and external clients to effectively collaborate and achieve successful outcomes at Regional and Global levels.
+ Adopting most appropriate Leadership style (Directing, Coaching, Supporting, Delegating) according to the situation to drive high performance within the organization.
+ Mentor others on effective communication and active listening techniques to fuller understand client/customer needs and expectations.
+ Proven experience enabling and leveraging diverse perspectives and talents to achieve multiple target conditions to achieve an overall challenge.
+ An expert in MPS Management System and standards with ability to coach and develop others to full competency (including GMPS)
+ Capable to lead Site/Above Site improvement activity and systemize new applications/works within the MPS Management System and Standards
**Travel Requirements:**
+ Due to nature of the work and the requirement to deliver hands-on support of activities expected travel will be up to 25%.
**Minimum Education Requirement and Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in related field with eight (8) years of MPS Management System Competency, change management, operations management, and leadership skills in Pharmaceutical Industry, **OR**
+ Master’s Degree in related field with six (6) years of MPS Management System Competency, change management, operations management, and leadership skills in Pharmaceutical Industry
**Required Experience and skills:**
+ Extensive Lean experience: proven deep understanding & successful application
+ Excellent skills using IT applications (MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, Minitab, MS-Teams)
+ Experience in operations management, manufacturing, or related disciplines.
+ Experience in Pharmaceutical Industry
**Preferred Experience and skills:**
+ Experience with Toyota based Production System (TPS)
+ Lean Six Sigma Certification
+ Project Management
+ Data Analytics & Statistical Analysis
+ Change Management and Organizational Development
+ Continuous improvement frameworks and methodologies
