MISSION / SUMMARY:

The Global Marketing Associate will be responsible for collecting, mining, segmenting, analyzing, disseminating, and maintaining critical market information, such as end user segments, competitors and consumer trends in the company’s core and new markets to identify key opportunity areas for growth. This position is responsible for leading competitive intelligence activity, identifying industry/segment trends early and anticipating market forces that will affect GPI business. This person will understand and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives as he/she executes their role.
 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

Identifies, analyzes and maintains global market data and intelligence to determine growth potential for packaging solutions. Provides in-depth analysis (market, economic trends, etc.) to support long-range business planning and new product development initiatives. Builds and maintains on-going competitive assessments (players, activities, threats, implications) and profiles/positions of converters, board suppliers and machinery products. Manage and responds to research requests to assist with projects from marketing, business development and sales teams. Execution of Global Beverage Account Based Marketing and sales enablement tactics such as conception, creation and delivery of the content such as customized newsletters, emails, decks, training sessions, and others. Supports various customer research efforts (focus groups, ethnographic research, on line panels, etc.) by partnering with the marketing team.   Main liaison with current market research providers and helps manage the relationships by evaluating new product solutions and future renewal processes. Expert data miner from various market research sources (Euromonitor, Mintel, Technomics, etc.) and other secondary research sources. Champion of SharePoint and CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) tools for the marketing team. Other duties as assigned.

 

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

 

1+ years of experience or prior internship experience in market research, data analysis and/or product marketing; required. 1+ years of experience with a CPG, Beverage, ECOM or Packaging company; preferred. 1+ years of experience in marketing data solutions, including sales support and vendor management; preferred.

 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree is required in marketing or a related field (Business, Engineering); MBA preferred. Demonstrated ability to utilize market intelligence from a variety of sources to identify market trends, understand implications and present them as business opportunities. Ability to work with teams through complex projects; as working in team based, cross-functional and cross business environments are essential for success in this role. Proven project management skills to be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines on a continuous basis. Highly developed analytical skills for extracting implications out of raw data and presenting clear and concise key findings to drive business impact. Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Proven self-starter with strong results oriented background requiring limited oversight. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Primarily PowerPoint & Excel) with aptitude for other software and/or technologies to solve business problems. Experience with lead generation tools and integration with CRM systems with a working knowledge of other programs like: Salesforce.com, SAP and other BI databases. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of an organization. Knowledge of marketing tools such as SalesForce and Pardot a plus.

 

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. 5-10% overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours. Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs. Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.

Pay Range:   $50,000.00 - $66,600.00
