General Summary:


The Consumer Distribution Manager will be responsible for managing and growing revenue with strategic accounts. This person will work closely with colleagues around the world and be responsible for executing regional strategy for driving the sale of Qualcomm compute products into retail.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will build and manage regional relationships with Distributors across the Europe  – focus countries: UK, DE, FR. He or she will interface with category planning, segment leaders, and operation teams in the regions to sell Qualcomm products. The candidate will work closely with the technical and product teams in Qualcomm headquarters as well as teams in in the regions. Key responsibilities include introducing and selling to PC OEM's Qualcomm’s compute portfolio to retailers/partners and gaining regional assortment across UK, DE, FR

Skills/Experience

Candidate will have had extensive experience in developing relationships at large, complex organizations in Europe. She or he will have managed to sales targets and goals. Experience in selling components, modules, and solutions to PC OEMs and the understanding of the complexity of the compute industry is required. The understanding of technically complex products and experience on how to position these to a broad audience are critical.  Experience working with consumer distributors is required.

10+ years of sales, product management or business development of complex technology products in compute businesses with knowledge of global dynamics of consumer distributors, Retailers, OEM, and OS Partners.Strategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customersExperience in design win and region sell-through partnerships with PC OEMsExperience in sell-through, sell-out, and go-to-market with consumer distributors, OEM regions and channel partners in UK, DE, FRDeep knowledge and experience in building complex financial models that create win win situations for Qualcomm and our customersAbility to identify emerging opportunities and proactively engage in pre-sales activityExpert technical understanding and hands-on experience in mobile and PC technology including being first line of defense for technical and product issuesProficient and detailed understanding of supply chain, product development and marketing of compute products such as notebooks, Chromebooks, and tabletsExperience in negotiating and managing sell in, sell out, MDF, demand gen and marketing programs with large consumer electronic distributors and retailersAbility to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally and externallyGood communication and interpersonal skillsCreative problem solving with strong analytical skillsSelf-motivated and result-driven

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.

OR

Associate's degree and 10+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology or related business field

10+ years in sales, business development, product management or related work experienceMaster’s degree in business or technology preferred15+ years in product marketing, sales, or product management in the PC industry
