What You'll Do
As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, automation, and cost efficiency. You will leverage expertise in cloud architecture, automation, security, and operations to build resilient, cost-effective, and secure environments.
Your responsibilities include:
Designing scalable, resilient cloud architectures tailored to operational needs.Managing cloud infrastructure operations, including cost optimization (FinOps), monitoring, patching, and disaster recovery automation.Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Helm, and CSP variants for reliable, automated deployments.Containerizing workloads using Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and cloud-native tools, optimizing orchestration and Helm configurations.Configuring firewalls, VPNs, VPCs, and HA network architectures, resolving connectivity issues across multi-provider environments.Implementing cloud security policies (IAM, RBAC, ABAC) and maintaining compliance standards.Supporting multi-cloud environments with expertise in core services across multiple CSPs.Applying cloud, network, and systems engineering experience within US Federal government (civilian or defense) environments.Collaborating with technical and business teams in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.YOU’RE GOOD AT:

Must-Have:
Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret level or above security clearance. Candidates with an active security clearance are highly preferred.U.S. Citizenship RequiredStrong cloud architecture and infrastructure operations expertise.Experience in FinOps, monitoring, and automated disaster recovery.Proficiency in IaC (Terraform, Helm, CSP-native tools).Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container management.Deep network engineering knowledge for secure, scalable cloud connectivity.Experience with IAM, RBAC, ABAC, and cloud security best practices.Multi-cloud expertise across multiple CSPs.Background in US Federal government cloud/network/systems engineering.Strong communication skills for collaborating across teams.Nice-to-Have:

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG’s Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.
We expect total annualized compensation for Washington D.C. employees to be approximately the following:
Base salary between $144,000.00 - $176,666.67 ; placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill levelAnnual discretionary performance bonus between 0-20%5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting periodFirst year annualized target total compensation: $166,320.00 - $204,050.00At BCG, we are committed to offering a comprehensive benefit program that includes everything our employees and their families need to be well and live life to the fullest.
