The Global Director of Engineering Acceleration for Workforce Productivity will lead the strategy, development, and implementation of scalable engineering solutions that drive efficiency, collaboration, and innovation across the enterprise. This role is instrumental in transforming workforce productivity by optimizing development lifecycles, streamlining DevOps practices, and fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise engineering acceleration, cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps methodologies, along with strong leadership capabilities to drive change and enhance engineering efficiency at scale. 

Responsibilities

Lead and evolve engineering acceleration strategies to enhance workforce productivity through optimized software development lifecycles (SDLC) and DevOps best practices. Oversee the selection, deployment, and optimization of enterprise engineering tools, ensuring seamless integration to maximize efficiency. Develop and implement automation solutions that enhance workforce collaboration, software delivery, and operational efficiency. Drive engineering excellence by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks in development and deployment workflows. Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve software build, testing, and deployment processes with a focus on enterprise productivity. Champion modern engineering practices, fostering a culture of innovation, automation, and continuous delivery across global engineering teams. Collaborate with IT, security, and development teams to ensure smooth adoption of DevOps and engineering acceleration strategies. Lead the transformation of workforce productivity by integrating AI/ML-driven automation, intelligent monitoring, and self-healing infrastructure. Promote the adoption of cloud-native architectures and best practices to support scalable and efficient engineering operations. Define and implement enterprise-wide security and compliance standards within the engineering framework. 

Tools:

Expertise in driving enterprise-wide engineering acceleration and workforce productivity initiatives. Proficiency in automation, AI-driven DevOps, and workforce productivity tools. Experience with GitLab CI, Jenkins, and Spinnaker for optimizing build and deployment processes at scale. Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS. Deep knowledge of modern DevOps methodologies and workforce productivity enhancements. Familiarity with integrating security tools and governance frameworks into engineering processes. Experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.

Qualifications:

Bachelors in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 12+ years of experience in enterprise engineering, DevOps, or related roles. 5+ years of leadership experience in driving engineering acceleration and workforce productivity initiatives. Strong expertise in CI/CD automation and engineering workflow optimization. Proven ability to define and execute a strategic vision for workforce productivity and engineering excellence. Experience with Agile methodologies and enterprise software environments. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on driving efficiency. Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders across the organization. 

Soft Skills  

Visionary leadership with a focus on driving workforce productivity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies. Effective communication and collaboration across global teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and implement innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications  

Experience in leading large-scale engineering transformation initiatives. Familiarity with workforce productivity tools and AI-driven automation strategies. CKAD/CKA or AWS certifications are a plus

Salary

The annual base salary range is $175,000 – $200,000 USD per year.  Total on-target compensation includes a base salary and variable target incentive (short-term and long-term) that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
