Your role and responsibilitiesThe role is a member of the Global BL Industries Communications Team and is responsible for supporting the growth and positioning of the GI (General Industry) segment as well as the channel partner program, with customer-focused communications plan and tactics. The General Industry segment covers a wide variety of industries from education, construction, to metal fabrication, earth moving machinery and solar. This is an excellent opportunity with a global remit for an experienced communicator with the ability to work and leverage resources across a highly matrixed organization to support business growth through devising and driving a communications plan, with the support and interaction of the RA Communications Central leadership team, of which she/he is a member. You will be mainly accountable for:• In close interaction with and the support of the Business Line Industries Comms Team, Sales and Marketing and RA Central Communications team, translates BL strategy into targeted global customer-focused communications plan and tactics that support internal & external positioning and growth using indirect and direct channels, including social media, digital online content, campaigns, trade shows & events and product and solutions communications.• Based on the overall BL Industries communications strategy develops and delivers the agreed yearly communications plan for internal and external audiences in close collaboration with Sales & Marketing and product teams.• Supports the channel partner program with content creation and activation. Close collaboration with channel partner manager.• Ensures constant internal communications cascade leveraging all internal events, platforms and channels. • Creates central positioning and communications content for products and solutions, develops communications calendar including events and shows, product launches, campaigns, media and speaking opportunities.• In close collaboration with sales, marketing and product teams supports the integral launch of products and solutions with content creation and tactics.• Maintains close collaboration and connectivity with focus countries (mainly Italy, Benelux, Eastern Europe, Canada, South Korea, Germany) to ensure strategy and messaging alignment.• Ensures sharing of content and execution of in-country communications plan including local exhibitions, roadshow activities, media and online outreach.• Responsible for developing KPI’s and monitoring return on investment for all led communications activities.• Pro-actively mines for stories with business stakeholders to provide proof-points to the region’s strategic direction and priorities. Coordinates the content creation and dissemination plan for customer success stories.• Develops and delivers targeted messages to reach defined audiences using channel mix. Supports with the development and delivery of management communication. • Effectively manages stories and content across the agreed range of communications tools and channels (internal and external) to reach defined audiences and to meet communications objectives.
Qualifications for the roleInternal and external communication professional with sound experience in defining and driving communications strategy and executing 360º communication campaigns including media relations, corporate communications, product launches, digital and social media, event management and content creation.+15 years of related experience, preferably a mix of Corporate/Agency experience within the technology industry and extensive internal and external communications experience. Experience in a highly matrixed organization and in coordinating with and working across geographies and different business levels.Experience in change management communications and channel communications.Action-oriented, results-driven, strong attention to detail, able to take ownership of large and complex projects and see them through to completion with a high standard of excellence and little supervision. Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.Possess strong project management and team working skills.Strong writing and presentation skills, able to support on keynote presentations, executive talking points, media briefings, Q&A documents etc.Native English or professional proficiency, excellent spoken and written editorial skills.Intercultural sensitivity and experienced in cross-functional, international collaboration and building strong personal networks.Experience operating within an automated demand generation environment that encompasses measurable and controllable direct and channel led communication plans and tactics.Communicates in an inspiring way with ability to negotiate, persuade and counsel effectively.Positive and passionate personality, with a strong drive to challenge the status quo and continuously improve things.
