As part of PTDS Global Clinical Supply Chain Management, the Production Enablement function ensures that packaging operations can produce material required by Roche’s clinical trials seamlessly, on-time, and while optimizing cost/quality.
Within Production Enablement the Global CMO Clinical Packaging Management team is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing outsourced portion of the Clinical Packaging portfolio. Contract Manufacturing Site Managers work closely with contract manufacturers (CMOs) worldwide, Procurement, Clinical Planning, Quality and other operations functions to develop and negotiate supply contracts and ensure product delivery from external manufacturing partners with optimal cost, quality and speed. CMO Site Managers also drive the evolution and implementation of new systems and efficient internal and external processes, in support of CMO production and the Pharma Vision to deliver 20 transformative medicines addressing diseases with the highest societal burden between 2020 and 2029.
The Opportunity:
You will organize and oversee clinical drug labeling, packaging, and device assembly with CMOs.
You will manage project onboarding, communications, timelines, and delivery performance.
You will handle pre and post-production order management in the ERP system.
You will collaborate on Requests for Proposal (RFPs), negotiate agreements, and select vendors.
You will define outsourced supply strategies and own budget submissions for CMO projects.
You will establish team scope and division of roles with upstream functions and leaders.
Who You Are:
You have 8+ years in pharma, supply chain management, or manufacturing with proficiency in SAP or ERP systems.
You possess a solid understanding of the pharma industry, supply chain, and clinical manufacturing activities.
You demonstrate skills in project planning, management, and resource management.
You have strong cultural awareness, analytical and problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.
You exhibit excellent communication skills in English, with basic German skills beneficial.
You hold a BA/BS Degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees and professional certifications are a plus.
