Hexcel is currently seeking a Global Capital Manager for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA location. This position can also be located in Casa Grande, AZ, Decatur, AL, Seguin, TX, or Pottsville, PA locations.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
Oversee the Capital Project system, ensuring all projects are tracked, managed, and reported accurately. Maintain the Capex SharePoint site, Capex 360 system, and the CER approval workflow.Look for improvement opportunities in all aspects of Capex management; work with Director of Capital Projects to define and implement improvements.Provide feedback on Capex management KPIs to site leaders and executives as neededMaintain working knowledge of finance policies related to capital requests and highlight any potential deviations from policy to director of capital projects.Collaborate with various stakeholders globally, including site administrators, project managers, and functional leaders to standardize processes and ensure reliable project execution.Generate monthly capex reports and monthly capex forecasts for corporation; review capital details regularly with sites to ensure accuracy of capex forecasts and understand variations and assist in the development of annual capex plans. Maintain KPIs on Capex management (volume and nature of amendments, compliance with capex plan, accuracy of forecasts, etc.).Coordinate with sites on creation of strategic planning (STRAP) for future capital investment needs.Oversee and maintain obsolescence and prioritization management tools; coordinate with facilities to ensure plans are updated and accurate.Provide training and support as needed on any aspect of Capex management. Maintain, improve, and update templates and training materials associated with capex management.Support preparation of CERs as needed (business case, formats, multi-phase overviews, wordsmithing for clarity, etc.). Review, edit, and approve CERs to ensure technical and financial information is clear, comprehensive, and meets professional standards. Support Capex scoping, execution, and/or startup efforts as needed on projects with significant issues or complexity.Qualifications:
Degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area with project management experience and/or7-10 years of financial leadership. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and fulfill responsibilities associated with project engineering teams.Experience with Six Sigma improvement principles. Manufacturing experience is preferred.Knowledge of a range of engineering disciplines (instrumentation, electrical, civil, mechanical, and chemical).Oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, and superior organizational abilities.Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.Ability to command the personal respect and confidence of colleagues and customers for technical capability.Knowledge and experience with basic process drawing layouts with emphasis on PFD’s, P&ID’s, and material balancesInternational experience with multi-lingual exposure is preferredAbility to travel on long commercial flights, up to 25%.Eligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
