The OC (Operational Controllership) teams provide support for our client’s financial activities of its affiliates across 31 countries in Europe working closely with the local/regional business controllership teams. Service scope includes preparatory and closing activities in areas like Compensation Benefit, Supply Chain, Fixed Asset, Cash Banking, Intercompany VAT and STAT. This is an excellent opportunity to have a complex overview of accounting of a global company. As an Accountant you can be a part of a large and friendly team.
Responsibilities
• Manage and perform US GAAP/ IFRS general accounting activities on behalf of local Businesses.
• Perform activities required for month-end closing according to the respective business deadlines. (Preparing and posting Manual Journal Entry, running reports, performing reconciliation) according to the respective business deadlines
• Prepare monthly / quarterly balance sheet account reconciliation and ensure that open items are accurately closed.
• Provide audit support in accurate and timely manner
• Support the statutory team providing details for preparation of statutory accounts for the respective client business
• Analyze and answer/process queries supporting the operations across client business, internal and external stakeholders and functions
• Maintain good working relationship with the local operation and controllership team, internal external audit teams, AP and FPA.
• Preparing the VAT declarations and the accounting journals when required
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Written and verbal fluency in English (min B2 level)
• Written and verbal fluency in Italian (min B2 level)
• Good understanding of accounting practices in relation to Record to Report and Accounts Payable.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
• Knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP/Oracle).
