Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a GIS Specialist to join our innovation team in our Minneapolis or Denver office. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities Work with clients and end users to build innovative GIS solutions using the ArcGIS platformPerform complex GIS analysis using Esri's ArcGIS platformProvide independent data interpretation while effectively maintaining data documentation.Create and modify GIS datasets; manage and maintain legacy GIS datasets; develop and implement GIS-based analyses supporting renewable energy projectsProduce technically skilled and detailed solutions to include preparing clear, complete, and accurate representations of spatial data using ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS EnterpriseProcess data and graphics requests from project team members and anticipate information needs and presentation format as part of renewable energy project workflowsWork with project stakeholders to develop and maintain new and useful workflows utilizing web-based GISDevelop and maintain geospatial data on desktop, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and mobile applications. Ensure data meets appropriate data accuracy and content standards for quality assurance and quality control.Establish a great user expereince for all users within Westwood Current™Enforce standards and best data management practices Ensure strong brandingEnsure timeliness of datasetsAdminister user accounts within Westwood Current™ Required Experience Must have a bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, or related field with demonstrated capabilities in GIS.Hands-on knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS EnterpriseDemonstrated ability to work with standard GIS datasets and deliverablesGDB, SHP, SDE (Enterprise), Vector, Raster, Feature Services, etc.Experience using ArcGIS OnlineDashboards, Hub Sites, Webapp Builder, Story Maps, Field Maps, Survey123, etc.Experience using Arcade, Python, ModelBuilder, or another common GIS scripting languageExperience working with different coordinate systems, map projections, and datumsFamiliarity with standard cartographic methods, theories, and principles.Ability to independently manage multiple assignments, determine and set job task priorities and work with limited direct supervision. Preferred Experience Previous work in/familiarity with consulting engineers and/or surveyors.Experience using AutoCAD and DWG filesExperience using Google Earth and KMZ files.Familiar with LiDAR datasets and usageExperience as a consultant About Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
