This position will support spatial analysis, 3D analysis, database development and map production efforts in support of Stantec’s Community Development business line on a wide range of projects, including FEMA Flood Insurance Studies. This is a great opportunity for someone wishing to pursue a potential career in GIS. **Your Key Responsibilities** + Cartography and map development. + Prepare flood mapping products and flood risk products based on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling + Spatial analysis, 3D analysis and database management + Communication and collaboration with the project team, project managers; + Occasional field data collection (e.g. GPS/GIS data collection); and + Developing official correspondence for communities. **Qualifications** **Capabilities and Credentials** + Working knowledge of ESRI software products. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Passion for geography, GIS, technology, and information communication; and + Ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks, concurrently **Education and Experience** Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographical Information Systems, or a related field; or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and has included major course work in Geographic Information Systems.
