Responsibilities:Collecting, processing, and analyzing geospatial data, including weather-related data (flood, wind, hail, tornado/hurricane), property location dataManaging and integrating diverse datasets from varied sources such as census data, weather and property dataDesigning and implementing data processing workflows to ensure efficient data handlingAutomating data processing workflows using tools and scripting languages; Python, Pentaho Data IntegrationUtilizing open-source software such as QGIS for geospatial analysisManaging geospatial databases using PostgreSQL or equivalent RDBMSWorking with cloud technologies like AWS and Azure for data storage, processing, and analyticsDeveloping and maintaining documentation for data processes and workflowsCollaborating with cross-functional teams to support data needs and analytic projectsEnsuring data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and cleansing processes
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related fieldExperience in a GIS data analysis roleProficiency in Python for data processing and automation a plusExperience with database management systems such as PostgreSQL and PostGIS a big plus (or good knowledge of a similar RDBMS)Proficiency in using open-source geospatial tools like QGISExperience in workflow automation (Pentaho Data Integration)Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and AzureAbility to handle and process large volumes of data efficientlyExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and commitment to data accuracyExcellent communication and collaboration skillsLearn more about the LexisNexis Risk team and how we work here#LI-PL1#LI-Hybrid
