Job Description Insight Global is hiring a GIS Data Analyst to join one of our top engineering and construction clients to support various Lead Line Service Replacement projects in the Northeast. These projects span across tens of thousands of homes at job sites across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity located in Edison, NJ on a hybrid basis (3-4 days in the office weekly). This is a net new opening with the team and in this position, you'd be working independently to analyze data from field crews. Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to: investigating missing data and discrepancies, identifying trends in data or issues in data to provide solutions to the field, monitoring and updating the status of homes that need to be serviced, generating graphs and visualizations to communicate progress and findings to project managers overseeing a given project. One of the primary goals of the data analyst is to translate and communicate the significance of the data findings from these projects to the project managers overseeing field crews to appropriately and effectively take action in the field. The ideal candidate is solution oriented, proactive with data quality assurance and demonstrates great communication skills when collaborating across various teams. Skills and Requirements - 2+ years of experience as a GIS data analyst (data cleaning, verification, and organization) - Strong Excel skills to generate charts and graphs, compare data across various files and investigate missing data - Familiarity with Esri GIS or ARC GIS - Experience creating reports and dashboards in PowerBi or Tableau - Previous experience handling high volumes of data across multiple projects simultaneously - Bachelor's degree relevant to information technology - Experience using Kahua or Ebuilder - Experience comparing and pulling data in SQL - Previous experience at an engineering or construction firm in a relevant role - preferably specific to water or gas systems - Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
