Overview TRC is looking for an experienced GIS Consultant – Pipeline Referencing to join its delivery team and support the development and execution of industry leading solutions for some of North America’s largest electric and gas utilities. In this role you will work directly with our customers, our technical teams, and industry partners to position for, respond to and deliver solutions. Responsibilities Engages stakeholders and clients to deliver strategic guidance on GIS technology. Serves as a mentor to junior staff on projects and/or within technical or industry areas. Plans, documents, manages, and coordinates delivery of tasks for complex projects. Provides expertise in GIS software and technology to stakeholders and clients. Collaborates with internal project leads, project delivery staff, and/or project managers on project requirements and interdependencies. Ensures data quality and accuracy for task deliverables. Reinforces recognition of TRC company values for team members on assigned project. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications 8+ years related experience in the GIS industry. Proficiency with Esri Software: Extensive experience with Esri's ArcGIS suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and other Esri applications including Esri services-based architecture. Utilities Domain Knowledge: Extensive experience with gas utilities data. Familiarity with other utilities data including electric, water, and telecommunications, and familiarity with industry-specific data models and standards. Esri Utility Network: In-depth knowledge and experience with the Esri Utility Network, including skills in configuring, managing, and analyzing utility network data. APR Tools: Proficiency with Esri's ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing (APR) tools for managing linear referencing systems and pipeline data. Business Process Understanding: Knowledge of gas utilities business processes and workflows, and the ability to align GIS solutions with business needs and objectives. Data Management: Skills in managing, editing, and analyzing spatial data, including data quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes. Integration and Interoperability: Experience with integrating GIS with other enterprise systems using APIs, web services, and middleware. Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for automating GIS workflows and processes. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GIS applications and data, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients, and to present complex GIS concepts to non-technical audiences. Project Leadership: Experience in leading GIS tasks, including planning, execution, and monitoring, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines. Documentation Skills: Proficiency in documenting technical specifications, workflows, and processes, and in maintaining comprehensive project records. Client Engagement: Ability to work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and deliver tailored GIS solutions. Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement of GIS solutions and staying updated with the latest Esri tools and technologies. Strong industry perspective in natural gas and/or electric transmission and distribution. Ability to translate business requirements into proposed technical solutions. Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills with the ability to proactively engage customers and guide them through clear, concise communication techniques. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Ability to travel up to 50%. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
