German Credit and Collections Specialist

The Credit and Collections Specialist will investigate credit applications and approves applications within established guidelines for companies and individuals.
 

Accountabilities:

Debt Collection

Telephone chasing of past and future debts on designated accountsEnsure follow up calls and collection plan dates are diarised.Issuing statements, invoices, and account reconciliation on designated accounts as required.Chasing debts by email and phone calls.

Debtor Reporting

Produce weekly spreadsheet debtors across designated shows for exhibition teamsProduce daily updates in the two week run up to show openingProduce monthly reports of outstanding debts pre and post showLiase with exhibition teams on a regular basis to ensure they are kept informed and involved with debt collection as appropriateArrange and attend team pre-show meetings 6 wk's prior to show openingProduce and distribute Show Collection Plan to teams

Adhoc Duties

Pursue and process Contra Deal paperworkRaise journals to clear credit balances post showClear down bank charges etc, pre showRaise adhoc journals as requiredProduce paperwork for refund of overpaymentsApply un-allocated cash to designated shows weekly

Policy Compliance

Ensuring credit control policy procedures are adhered to

System Knowledge

Ensure that IT knowledge is sufficient to carry out the required role.Is competent at using Excel and WordOracle user preferred.

Language Proficiency

Must have a Language Proficiency Certificate for German - Berlitz 7 (B1.3) Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skill both in English and competitively in German.Translation job of German language - written and voice

Qualifications:

Must be a Bachelor's Degree holderMust have at least 1-2 years of relevant work experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledgeable in MS ExcelPreferably has an experience working in BPO/Shared Service companyWilling to work on a rotational shift and hybrid work set up
