Geotechnical Engineer
Job Title: Civil Engineer
Job Description

The successful candidate will typically work under the direction of a licensed PE and be responsible for the technical analysis and design of infrastructure projects including but not limited to roadways, retaining walls, bridges, buildings, dams, soil and rock slopes, asphalt and concrete pavements.

ResponsibilitiesReview boring logs, laboratory data, and design plans for various technical tasks such as slope stability, settlement analysis, and construction recommendations.Work on shallow and deep foundation design, such as driven piles and drilled shafts.Provide project-specific analysis of liquefaction potential with seismic considerations, slide remediation, and ground improvement.Prepare drawings, specifications, and foundation reports for technical projects.Coordinate with project managers to implement measures to meet all project goals and objectives successfully.Travel within the Southeast region for site visits, client/project meetings, etc.Essential SkillsTechnical expertise in civil engineeringExperience with geotechnical designProficiency in Civil 3DCivil Engineering DegreeAdditional Skills & QualificationsConsulting experienceEIT (Engineer in Training) certificationWork Environment

Engineering offices in Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky, with roughly 100 engineers of various disciplines. The Paducah Office, with 50 people, is the Center of Excellence for the Geotechnical discipline nationally, housing approximately 20 geotechnical engineers. This position requires being based out of either the Lexington or Paducah office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $52.88/hr.
