Job Title: Geotechnical EngineerJob Description We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven Geotechnical Staff Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL. Our office provides comprehensive consulting engineering services, including geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing. While a significant portion of our client base is private/commercial, we also engage in public sector projects. Responsibilities include: - Performing field observation and testing on grading and construction projects, including field density testing and concrete sampling and testing. - Conducting geotechnical exploration including soils borings, concrete and asphalt evaluations for various geotechnical studies. - Assisting in geotechnical report preparation including exploration logs, geotechnical analyses such as slope stability, liquefaction, settlement, etc., and report writing. - Performing miscellaneous field, office and laboratory duties in support of geotechnical studies and construction materials testing projects. Hard Skills + Experience with multi-family, retail, land development, and residential projects + 6 to 8 years of experience, possibly PE level or someone working towards PE + Experience with geotechnical reports or proposals + Knowledge of geology + Technical review and client development + Geotechnical materials testing + Familiarity with Orlando and the local market Job Type This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Orlando, Florida. Work Environment In office and working in the field as well. The office includes a newer lab and is located near MCO.
