Under general supervision, performs basic to moderate complexity geologic/ seismic evaluations/fault rupture hazard and slope stability investigations/hydrogeologic analysis (aquifer test analysis; geochemical analysis; geotechnical analysis; contaminant transport analysis etc.) in both surface and subsurface geologic conditions pertaining to water supply, contaminant and/or geotechnical assessments. Activities may include subsurface geological formation logging, water sampling, surface geological mapping, aquifer testing and/or soils characterization and data compilation and evaluation. Prepares cross sections, Isoconcentration maps, technical reports, and/or QA/QC analysis. Develops draft evaluations and calculations for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all assessments. Schedules and reviews the work of subcontractors during field work. Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.. Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals. Attends conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff. Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Reviews the work of more junior staff. Performs other duties as required.
