We are seeking a Geologist to join our geotechnical engineering team to provide full-time, field-based geotechnical quality inspection services, ensuring compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.

The ideal candidate will work under direct supervision, performing fieldwork of basic complexity. Work may also involve conducting basic geotechnical laboratory tests on soils, rock and construction materials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct soil density testing (e.g. nuclear density gage, and proctor compaction), and oversee construction activities including earthwork, and concrete works
• oversee geotechnical/environmental drilling, geotechnical and geologic logging of subsurface investigations.
• Sampling of soil/rock and coordination of laboratory testing for geotechnical and geologic subsurface investigations
• Construction material sampling and testing for construction activities
• Compile data and prepare field reports.
• Oversee drilling operations as needed, which may include overnight hours and weekends.
• Perform other duties as required.
