KBR is seeking a GEOINT focused Acquisition Specialist to support contracts/ and related business processes throughout all stages of the contract procurement cycle. This position requires an understanding of the intelligence community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on core systems engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure. The candidate will participate in acquisition processes and system readiness events and independent review teams and is required to have strong GEOINT systems engineering background and significant space and ground domain knowledge in technical capabilities and performance. The right candidate will be able to work independently and function effectively as part of a team and interact with people from junior to senior-most levels. This individual should have experience meeting deadlines and prioritizing contracts related items across large organizations.

Acquisition Support: Provide expert advice to the Program Director, Program Managers and Contracting Staff regarding acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and execution.Pre-Award Acquisition Support: Provide advice recommendations, and document preparation support to GEOINT disciplined office in all areas of the acquisition pre-award phase, to include:SOW’s: Statement of Works (SOWs), Statement of Objectives (SOOs)Acquisition Strategy SupportCost EstimatesMarket Research & Market SurveysQuality Assurance PlansRequests for Proposals (RFPs)/Request for Quotations (RFQs)Source SelectionOther miscellaneous pre-award documentationAward/Selection Support: Provide source selection support to include reviewing contract award documents and contract award acquisition support. Including:
Technical: Draft technical evaluations and function as an advisor in source selections.
Post-Award Support: Support the Contract Officer Technical Representatives (COTRs) and Developers by coordinating with other acquisition domain SMEs and program stakeholders to develop, modify, and maintain contract documentation (award fee, period of performance extensions, and admin modifications etc.). Including:
Documentation: Develop documents and briefings to communicate work status, recommendations, and approach.
Requirements: Provide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor designs and milestone reviews to assess progress, risks and issues, and the ability to achieve mission requirements.
Deliverables: Monitor & evaluate contractor performance for compliance with contract terms/conditions & ensures timely submission of contract deliverables.
CDRLs: Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, accuracy, and sufficiency to meet program requirements and objectives.
Meetings: Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings.

Clearance: TS/SCI with PolygraphEducation: B.S. in engineering, physics or related technical degree with at least 8 years’ experience with space/ground aerospace systems engineeringExperience: 4-5 years of experience in contracts or acquisition experienceKnowledge: Working knowledge of GEOINT Mission Processing, product definition and generationDesired:
Technical: Familiarity with specific IC customer, technical familiarity with mission processing or mission control of one or more GEOINT systems, SAR and FSG experience highly desiredReady to Make a Difference?
