Generative AI Service and Capacity Expansion and Planning, APJ

The AWS Generative AI APJ team is looking for an experienced leader to drive the Capacity Planning, Expansion and GTM strategy for Generative AI Services and Infrastructure across APJ.

As the Technical BDM, you will be responsible for leading the APJ GPU and AWS Accelerated Chipset expansion and capacity planning coupled with leading the GTM strategy for launching new Generative AI services and Large Language Model (LLM) availability. This role will work in conjunction with global Service Teams, AWS Infrastructure Teams, Regional Leadership and Specialist teams. Example of capacity and expansion activities include; the availability and usage of Accelerated Compute (XC), the forwarding looking demand and supply plan for XC, the launch timeframes of Amazon Bedrock across APJ regions, the availability of new Amazon Bedrock Features (e.g., Prompt Caching), the geographic launch plans around the availability of LLMs (e.g., the Amazon Nova Family) and existing/emerging Generative AI Services (e.g. Amazon Q).

We are looking for a seasoned professional with strong strategy and management experience in Generative AI, cloud services and compute product management. This person will have sufficient technical skills to understand IT architecture, unparalleled communication skills (can clearly describe strategy and drill into tactics), and the ability to interact with all functions, disciplines, and levels in the organization. This is a highly visible and critical position that will play a big role in the future direction of AWS in the APJ region.


Key job responsibilities
• Assess market opportunity across the APJ region for XC and Generative AI Services.
• Develop and own the GTM plan that will launch new services and models including; defining target customer segments, roadblocks and risks with initial launch, success criteria for launch and the investment strategy.
• Drive strategic customer engagements relating to new Services or Capacity expansion needs.
• Manage the launch process including outbound marketing, internal enablement, program management of launch.
• Responsible for influence, interlock and communications with the Global Service, marketing and regions expansion teams.
• Lead the regular reporting cadence and communications to the Regional and Service Leadership teams.
