GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the Aviation Outfitting Requirements Branch of the Aviation Allowance and Outfitting Division of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT in Philadelphia, PA. Responsibilities You will direct the establishment and maintenance of Allowance Requirements Registers (ARRs) in support of new aircraft, avionics, and support equipment via formal or desk top provisioning. You will ensure other ARR workers track File Maintenance Tool (FMT) inputs to maintain accurate and complete Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Bill of Material (BOM) updates. You will review logistics planning data for weapons systems with regard to significant changes in expected baseloads and utilization to ensure effective computation of retail requirements. You will review the adequacy of configuration databases used in the retail level setting process and makes recommendations as to how they can be improved. You will attend related conferences and makes formal/informal presentations to organizational components regarding the data requirements of the Aviation Allowance and Outfitting Division. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating a mastery of United States Navy and Marine Corps configuration management concepts, specifically, the establishment and administration of Allowance Requirements Registers (ARRs) and the regular maintenance of the Aircraft Equipment Configuration List (AECL) for use in allowance computation. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing various logistics data program information sources including the Provisioning Statement of Work (PSOW), Maintenance Plan, Provisioning Parts List (PPL), Provisioning Contract Control Number (PCCN), and Design Change Notices (DCN); 2) Reviewing supply data between various automated supply systems including File Maintenance Tool (FMT), Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Readiness Suite; 3) Utilizing Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint; 4) Communicating effectively both orally and in writing to engage in policy-based dialogues with both internal and external partners.
