**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** We are looking for a bar saw operator to join our Operations Team in Southington, CT. The bar saw operator sets up and safely operates the saws to cut material into pieces as ordered by the customer. **Responsibilities** + Prioritize safety at all times. + Organize work orders to efficiently process material. + Transport material throughout the warehouse using forklifts and cranes. + Set up machines by selecting appropriate nozzles, setting speeds, and feeds. + Measure material using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. + Confirm source material processed is from the correct location and is the correct material. + Conduct first piece and in-process inspections according to quality sampling plan. + Stack and sort finished products for packaging. + Pack and protect material for shipment. + Clean saws according to maintenance procedures. + Perform additional warehouse duties as directed by supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Experience in warehouse, material handling, and forklift operation. + Previous machining experience or experience directly related to the duties of the position strongly preferred. + High level of attention to detail. + Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions. + Basic math skills required to convert decimals and fractions and to accurately use and read tape measures and calipers. + Dependable, punctual, and works well with others. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School graduate or equivalent preferred. + Experience performing physical labor in manufacturing, warehouse, construction, landscaping, or general labor. + Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment with deadlines for same-day delivery. + Open to cross-training and taking on any necessary tasks. + Must be able to lift 75lbs+. + History of working safely and productively. **Why Work Here?** Once permanent, enjoy competitive wages and bonuses, including two bonus programs.
