**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** We are looking for dedicated and detail-oriented General Production Workers to join our team. The role involves the conversion of micro-prism films, managing material flow, performing quality checks, and maintaining documentation. This position offers the opportunity to grow within the company and develop your technical skills. **Responsibilities** + Convert micro-prism films. + Manage material flow to and from machines. + Load and unload films on machines. + Slit materials to required widths and lengths, set up and perform splices. + Follow all ISO documentation requirements. + Monitor machines, make necessary adjustments, and perform quick quality checks to ensure product conformance. + Monitor and record pressure and ranges as required. + Process work orders in ERP systems. + Retrieve chemicals and materials needed for the process. + Enter requests in the Computer Maintenance Management System. + Maintain documentation of all required machine reports. + Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude. + 6 months or more experience in an industrial environment. + Experience in assembly or machine operating. + Open to candidates with trade school experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools. + Ability to use a tape measure. + Experience in general labor, packaging, and manufacturing processes. **Why Work Here?** Once you become a permanent employee, you will receive a generous benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid basic life and AD&D insurance, and STD/LTD. The environment is clean, high-tech, well-lit, and spacious. We are expanding with an additional building that will almost double our size. There is a gym above the manufacturing floor accessible to all employees, complete with a locker room area. The required PPE includes steel or composite-toed shoes and safety glasses, with hearing protection needed in the casting area. Training schedules are provided, and while some overtime is available, it is not mandatory. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Avon, Connecticut. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
