General Manager - Global Forwarding

Robinson is seeking a General Manager for our Global Forwarding office in Cleveland, OH.  As the General Manager, you will provide oversight and own accountability for talent development, commercial growth, product development, financial management, and operational quality within a 40+ person office. Responsibilities:Set and lead branch vision, direction, and strategic market plans aligned with C.H. Robinson objectivesUse analytics to drive better decision-making and improve business resultsDesign, review, and adjust organizational structures to meet business goalsBuild and manage internal relationships to improve collaboration and efficiencyLead workforce planning, including recruiting, selecting, and onboarding talentAccountable for financial performance, including volume, margin expectations, and expense managementMonitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet targetsCommunicate plans, financial results, and performance metrics regularly to employeesPossess a broad understanding of C.H. Robinson's products, services, and technologies, leveraging them to collaborate with commercial teams in identifying opportunities, driving sales growth, establishing new supply chains, and optimizing client solutionsManage customer relationships, analyzing their businesses and identifying opportunitiesOversee talent management, including performance, development, and succession planningLead compensation and recognition strategies, including bonuses and employee engagementEnsure legal and regulatory compliance, contract negotiations, and risk managementRepresent C.H. Robinson in external organizations and support brand-building efforts

Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityMinimum 7 years of experience in global forwardingMinimum 5 years of people management experienceAbility to travel up to 50% (domestically)

Preferred Qualifications:Experience managing financials for a business segmentAbility to understand and communicate financial metrics, including P & LDemonstrated success generating revenue or business growth in a client-facing role with sales, account management, or carrier management experienceBroad market and industry knowledgeProficiency presenting to both internal and external audiencesDemonstrated negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentEnter preferred qualification

Compensation Range

$123,700.00 - $205,700.00
