General Manager (Aerospace)

The General Manager of Aerospace is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the aerospace division at Liebherr Singapore Pte Ltd. This role requires a visionary leader with deep industry knowledge, strong business acumen, and exceptional leadership skills to drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

What You Can Expect of the Job

Responsibilities:

 

Oversee the division's direction, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and values while achieving business goals. Develop and implement strategies aimed at reaching key business objectives, such as revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability. Drive the division's enhancement initiatives to stay ahead of industry advancements and maintain a competitive edge in the local market. Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul processes, including engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain management. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the aerospace industry. Oversee the division's budget, including forecasting, financial planning, and resource allocation. Enhance financial performance by analysing and optimizing cost structures, improving profit margins, and maximizing overall profitability. Provide regular updates on the division's financial status and strategic progress to the local Management and the Board of Directors of the Aerospace Division. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of executives, managers, and professionals within the division. Cultivate a team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and dedication. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Represent the company at industry events and meetings with government and regulatory bodies.

 

What We Expect of You

Qualifications:

Successfully completed university degree, or commercial/technical training with appropriate further qualifications Experience in the operational management of a service organization High proficiency in English Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time What We Offer
