Overview: The General Manager provides leadership and guidance to all dealership employees in order to maximize net profit, maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, customer retention and employee satisfaction. Serves as the primary management representative for the location and responsible for representing the company brand and maximizing dealership performance. Key Responsibilities: Dealership Operations & Oversight + Oversee daily dealership activities including floor planning, scheduling, staffing, and employee development. + Manage adherence to dealership policies and ensure operational efficiency. Sales & Performance Leadership + Monitor sales goals, employee performance, and forecasts to ensure targets are met. + Motivate the sales team and ensure timely follow-up on all leads. Customer & Partner Relationship Management + Maintain strong relationships with customers, service teams, factory personnel, and key business partners. + Address and resolve customer complaints in a prompt and professional manner. Financial & Budget Management + Manage monthly expenses and ensure alignment with the dealership’s budget. + Demonstrate strong understanding of financial statements and dealership profitability. Strategic Leadership & Communication + Collaborate with corporate leadership, providing regular updates on dealership performance. + Assist in the development of marketing and advertising strategies to drive traffic and sales. Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent; business management education preferred. + 5+ years in dealership management, preferably in RV sales, at the GSM or GM level. + Strong understanding of financial reporting and operational KPIs. + Proven leadership and team development skills. + Proficiency in dealership management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. + Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills. + Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and systems.
