As a General Maintenance or General Maintenance Lead Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day maintenance functions that keep the park running smoothly. Job Summary: General Maintenance Technicians must have mechanical or electrical aptitude, strong interpersonal skills for teamwork, and a willingness to learn new skills through training. Effective communication, both verbal and written, is essential, along with basic computer proficiency for data management and documentation. Additionally, candidates must be adaptable, self-motivated, and possess a valid driver’s license, while demonstrating knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to troubleshoot building systems. General Maintenance Lead Technicians are responsible for overseeing safety, training, and maintenance activities within a park or facility setting. The position involves managing a team of General Maintenance Technicians, planning and scheduling repair work, and collaborating with management to prioritize tasks and implement maintenance procedures. Responsibilities General Maintenance Technician $19.25-21.00/hour Provides general maintenance skills necessary for repair and maintenance of facility-related assets Performs diagnosing of building systems as required Performs work associated with cyclic, predictive and preventive maintenance procedures for related responsibilities Responsible for materials used and ordering of items needed for job completion or inventory replacement per established company procedures Responsible for maintenance and continuous development toward a safe & healthy work environment Perform other job duties as required General Maintenance Lead Technician $23.00/hour Responsible for the on-the-job safety of assigned Technicians as well as for mitigation of risk for other employees and park visitors who may be affected by maintenance or repair activities. Assists the Maintenance Manager and Assistant Maintenance Manager in the training and retention of seasonal employees. Provides management and technical skills necessary for effectively performing maintenance & repair activities. Responsible for planning, scheduling, and leading Technicians in repair and maintenance activities. Cooperates and collaborates with the Maintenance Management team to allocate labor according to established maintenance and repair priorities. Assists with the development and implementation of predictive and preventive maintenance procedures. Assists in maintaining an organized, properly stocked inventory of repair parts and maintenance supplies. Will adhere to the maintenance on-call policy and may be required to cover a few evenings and/or weekends each month to resolve facilities issues. Qualifications General Maintenance Technician Must possess mechanical or electrical aptitude as demonstrated by previous employment, education or hobbies. Display the interpersonal skills required to effectively work in a team setting. Be receptive to training and be able to quickly acquire new skills and knowledge. Be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Be capable of, and willing to present a polite demeanor and professional appearance to coworkers, guests, contractor, vendors and others with whom contact is made. Must possess the basic computer skills required to enter and retrieve data to or from the Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Must demonstrate ability and flexibility to adjust to change and meet new situations or changes in assignments or procedures. Must be self-motived, able to work independently with limited supervision, and be willing to occasionally work over-time and/or nights. The ability to troubleshoot and diagnose building mechanical and electrical systems. A working knowledge of applicable OSHA and NFPA safety regulations and requirements, including the ability to recognize and correct unsafe work practices or equipment installations which do not meet Code. Computer skills required to effectively communicate via email and to create and edit Word documents and Excel spreadsheets. Must be at least 19 years old and possess a current, valid, driver’s license with a good driving record for the past 3 years. Lead General Maintenance Technician Must have knowledge of, and experience in facility maintenance, operation or construction. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical to this position. Must demonstrate the management and facility maintenance skills required to effectively and efficiently oversee the uniquely challenging maintenance operation at the Lake area. Must possess strong organizational skills. Must be a self-starter, able to troubleshoot problems, ask the right questions and have the confidence to make hard decisions based on the best information available. Must possess knowledge of OSHA General Industry (1910) and Construction (1926) standards. Must possess a strong working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office and Maximo CMMS software. Must be at least 21 years old and possess a current, valid, driver’s license with a safe driving record for the past 3 years. Physical Requirements Include: Most positions require Respiratory Fit Testing and will require compliance with applicable regulations, including a clean-shaven face. Some positions must be able to work in confined spaces and permit-required confined spaces may occasionally be required. Ability to walk long distances- up to 1/2 mile over uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 .
