Position Summary:
As an accountant, you will establish and maintain accounting policies and controls for the Mexico organization. You'll be responsible for maintaining accounting and financial records, including the general ledger, financial statements, and regulatory and management reports. Your role includes overseeing treasury operations, such as cash forecasting and financial risk management. You will prepare and analyze cash flow statements, reconcile treasury accounts, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. Additionally, you will collaborate with finance teams to optimize cash management strategies and generate various ad hoc reports related to treasury functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls for the Mexico organization
Maintains accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory and management reports
Prepares and reviews account reconciliations
Participates in month-end close accounting related activities
Collaborates with auditors and assists with quarterly reviews and year-end audits
Identifies costs and efficiency gaps, recommending ways to reduce costs or improve processes and standards
Collaborates with internal stakeholders to planning and/or facilitating the environmental and legal due diligence meetings.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
Two (2) years accounting/finance experience required. Bank reconciliation experience preferred.
Fluency (speaking and writing) in both Spanish and English.
