General Ledger Accountant Location: Warsaw, PL Work Arrangement: Hybrid Location: Readiness to work from our current location at 39 Farbiarska Street in Warsaw till the 2nd quarter of 2025, when we are opening our new facility at 105 Katowicka Avenue in Kajetany. The Role: In this role you’ll be managing general accounting operations for the preparation of financial statements in US GAAP and Local GAAP standards for our Polish Subsidiary. You’ll have an opportunity to be part of a global service organization working closely with the Finance Controlling team on the service delivery to business partners and continuous improvement of financial reports, identifying and executing process efficiencies, engagement with outsourced provider and varied service-based activities. What you will do: + Prepare and document journal entries under your responsibility, complex and specific, requiring judgment. + Check, follow up, approve the bookings of offshore Dover shared service within the deadlines. + As local finance point of contact, support and train the business local team on controlling process. + Manage and analyze the monthly reporting in the group reporting tool, online with the closing instructions provided by the Group Reporting team, within the deadlines. + Analyze balance sheet accounts for accuracy, provide detailed account reconciliations and adjust balances via journal entries where applicable. + Support and document all polish legal finance related requirements (surveys, tax reporting, transfer price, financial statements, whitelist obligations…). + Prepare and provide supporting documentation for the the yearly Local Gaap Financial Statements (difference US – Polish GAAP entries, Polish financial statement requirements). + Provide requested documents to Auditors. + Review tax returns (Income, VAT…). + Participate to different financial projects (parameters, tests, migration, checks) and challenge when needed. + Approve and follow up the vendor invoices in the dedicated tool to ensure payment on time. + Support Business in the Account Payable process related to the polish plant. What you need to have: + 5+ years of progressively related finance experience in international environment and within a matrix organization. + Strong financial analytics skills with ability to identify and effectively explain gaps/changes. + Excellent communication skills and ability to drive conflict resolution/change management. + Ability to work independently and in teams, both locally and globally to achieve goals & objectives. + Know how in finance Polish requirement. + Strong IT skills and flexible mindset to work on various tools. Working experience with SAP is a plus, or at least another ERP. Proficiency with Excel. + Proficient in Polish and English (please provide an English version of your CV, line manager based abroad).
