Ferrous Processing and Trading, a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, has an immediate opportunity for a Laborer at our Zalev Brothers operation in Windsor, Canada. The Laborer will assist the facility by sorting through various piles of non-ferrous metals, removing non-recyclable materials, and separating recyclable materials by type and grade.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles or places in bins or barrels according to type, size, condition, or other characteristics.Collect and load metals into boxes and drums preparing materials for shipment.Operate balers and shears.Drive forklifts and bobcats to transport materials to various staging areas.Maintain material inventory control and perform daily maintenance checks on assigned equipment.Perform light duty preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.Move reusable materials to production department or storage.Separate metal particles from waste.Attach labels to salvage containers to identify contents.Weigh materials and containers and keep records of total amount of material collected.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Grade 12 education.Ability to work in heat/cold
