**Job Title: General Laborer** **Job Description** Perform a variety of tasks including overseeing a grinder or saw, cleaning the plant, organizing pallets and equipment/raw materials, assisting other shop employees, loading trucks, staging product, and using hand and some power tools. Additionally, receive items, match purchase orders to job/order numbers, ensure correct items are received, and write job numbers on items. **Responsibilities** + Ship items using UPS and T-Force freight. + Package items for shipping and band larger items to pallets for shipping freight. + Move inventory and job-specific parts to appropriate locations using a pallet jack or forklift. + Operate a forklift. + Use a saw to cut panels to appropriate lengths according to orders and package panels for shipping. + Read a tape measure in both metric and standard units. + Pick components from the warehouse for specific parts to be assembled according to a Bill of Material. + Monitor inventory levels and notify the supervisor when inventory is low. + Use a company vehicle to pick up job parts from nearby vendors occasionally. **Essential Skills** + Prior shipping/receiving experience. + Experience with sit down/stand up forklifts. + Ability to use hand and power tools. + Ability to read a tape measure. + Attention to detail and accuracy. + Experience using a grinder and other tools. **Work Environment** The work environment can be a bit dirty and is a weld shop that is not heated, so it can be cold. The position involves heavy production and heavy lifting. This role is open due to growth within the company. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leola, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
