Overview General Engineering Superintendent

A great mining company in KwaZulu Natal is seeking the expertise of a General Engineering Superintendent to join their team.

Essential Requirements:

Grade 12 N4 Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Electrical / Millwright / Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Boilermaker Trade Test Certificate 6 – 8 years’ experience in a coal mining environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyse and interpret planned/unplanned maintenance results, assess deviation and initiate corrective action. Assess and report on maintenance efficiency and implement action plans to address problem areas/deficiencies. Team management, including the optimisation of manpower utilization and efficiency, conflict management and team training and development. Ensure conformance with budget and cost effectiveness. To ensure that mine procedures and standards are adhered to in order to facilitate a safe and healthy work environment.
