Position Overview:

General Clerk I is required to support DC11100 Command Reutilization and Disposal (CRuD) warehouse and CCD Artifacts (China Lake). Support includes inventory of artifact documents, artifacts, maintenance of artifacts, and CRuD. This mission serves as a valuable resource to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division(NAWCWD), the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), and other Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) divisions and commands.

General Clerks are responsible for filing pre-coded documents in a chronological file, or operating office equipment, (e.g., mimeograph, photocopy, addressograph or mailing machine), following clearly detailed specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence, such as coding and filing documents in an extensive alphabetical file and operating basic office equipment, e.g., photocopier, facsimile, multi-line phone/voicemail systems, mailing machines, and minimal computer programs.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The Contractor shall receive and direct incoming phone calls and visitors. Answer routine general inquiries from telephone calls and visitors. Receive, screen, and distribute incoming mail. The Contractor shall prepare and review official correspondence, ensure that proper format, grammar, and spelling are used in creating, editing, and preparing documents. The Contractor shall be responsible for building and equipment maintenance, telephones, personnel moves, and assisting with facility upgrades. The Contractor shall utilize automated computer systems to maintain calendars, schedule meetings and training sessions for the organization. The Contractor shall communicate effectively orally and in writing. The Contractor shall interact professionally with all levels of management within NAWCWD both internal and external. The Contractor shall ensure familiarity with the NAVAIR and NAWCWD concept of operations and observance of safe and effective work habits, including Information Assurance and protection of classified/ confidential/Privacy Act information. The Contractor shall ensure that any classified correspondence/material is properly prepared per DON instruction before mailing. The Contractor shall provide escorting for U.S. and Foreign National visitors as assigned. The Contractor shall assist with inventory and inventory control programs. The Contractor shall maintain a Government data repository containing Command Reutilization and Disposal (CRuD) and Command Artifacts data. The Contractor shall copy or scan CRuD documents and return them by email or guard mail to customers, file documentation in centralized location, and purge files as required per retention requirements. Contractor shall be responsible for building and equipment maintenance, telephones, personnel moves Contractor shall communicate effectively orally and in writing. Contractor shall utilize automated computer systems to maintain calendars; schedule meetings and training sessions for the organization.and assisting with facility upgrades. Contractor shall monitor and safeguard Privacy Act information.   Contractor shall generate off-center security clearances for staff and renew annually and maintain log for SAAP badges and office door keys. Contractor shall ensure that any classified correspondence/material is properly prepared per DON instruction before mailing. Contractor shall provide escorting for U.S. and Foreign National visitors as assigned. Contractor shall assist with inventory and inventory control programs. Contractor shall maintain a government data repository containing Command Reutilization and Disposal (CRuD) and Command Artifacts data. Contractor shall copy or scan CRuD documents and return them via email, guard mail, or in-person using a government vehicle to customers; file documentation in a centralized location; and purge files as required per retention requirements. Contractor has the responsibility of receiving the initial request for service, entering and maintaining SharePoint data and tracking metrics. Contractor shall be required to lift up to 10lbs. Contractor shall be comfortable working in a warehouse.   No travel required for this task order.
