Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient General Cashier to join our team at NH Sandton in Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cash operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining compliance with banking regulations.

Handle daily cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfersReconcile cash balances and maintain accurate financial recordsPrepare and verify cash reports for management reviewIdentify and resolve discrepancies in cash accountsEnsure compliance with banking regulations and internal cash handling proceduresCollaborate with other departments to streamline cash management processesAssist in implementing and maintaining cash management systemsProvide excellent customer service when interacting with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications2-3 years of experience in cash management or a related financial roleProficiency in cash handling and financial record-keepingStrong understanding of basic accounting principlesExcellent mathematical skills and attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred)Cash handling certification (preferred)Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirementsExperience with cash management systemsStrong time management and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDemonstrated integrity and reliability in handling sensitive financial information
