Take the first step towards a rewarding career by applying today. Overview The General Accountant is responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable. Duties may include but are not limited to preparing and posting journal entries, cash receipts, and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. Collaborate with departments to obtain necessary information for invoicing processing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepare daily consolidated deposits of cash received by all cash-handling employees. Document, maintain, communicate, and act upon all Cash Variances Responsible for any tasks necessary to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Update documentation of business processes and procedures. Accounts Payable processing. Accounts Receivable processing. Other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications 2-3 years of accounting/finance preferred OnQ experience a plus Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills. Strong organization skills Self-starter/pro-active, and a team player with the ability to meet goals and deadlines Detail oriented and must work effectively and efficiently under time pressure Candidate must have the ability to work with interruptions, strict deadlines, and minimal supervision.
