POSITION SUMMARY:

The Gelcoat A position applies gel coat to production hull and deck molds, liners, and small parts by using hand operated spray equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs pre-spray check of spray equipment and material to ensure proper operation and appropriate color.Performs final cleaning of mold surfaces with a tack cloth.Operates spray gun to apply various coats of gel coat to the molds. Specific amounts of gel coat must be applied and measured with a mil gauge. Specifications as to percentage of coverage of gelcoat are required and checked visuallyPerforms daily cleaning and minor maintenance routines on the spray guns.Maintains clean, safe, and hazard free work area.ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
