**Job Description**
Capgemini is looking for a GCP Cloud Architect and Program Leader to lead a strategic cloud modernization initiative in the Financial Services and Payments domain. This role will drive the migration of critical payment processing workloads from AWS Lambda to GCP Cloud Functions, ensuring compliance, scalability, and performance in a highly regulated and security-sensitive environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of technical depth, leadership skills, and domain knowledge in financial services, with hands-on experience in GCP-native design and cloud transformation programs.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Program Leadership: Lead the migration of serverless applications from AWS Lambda to GCP Cloud Functions, with a focus on high-availability and secure financial services workloads.
+ Cloud Architecture Design: Architect scalable, secure, and compliant solutions using Google Cloud Platform services tailored to the needs of payment systems.
+ Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with payment systems architects, compliance officers, and business teams to align cloud architecture with regulatory and operational goals.
+ Organizational and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all cloud architectures and setups adhere to organizations standards and financial regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
+ Cloud Governance: Define and enforce best practices, reference architectures, and secure-by-design principles across all GCP implementations.
+ Performance Optimization: Evaluate existing AWS Lambda implementations and optimize their design for GCP in terms of latency, cost-efficiency, and throughput for transaction-heavy services.
+ Team Leadership: Mentor and guide engineering teams in adopting GCP technologies, serverless design patterns, and DevSecOps practices.
+ Documentation & Risk Management: Prepare detailed architecture documents, migration runbooks, and conduct risk assessments throughout the program lifecycle.
**Skills Required:**
+ 12+ years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years in cloud architecture roles.
+ GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification is mandatory.
+ Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform, especially Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and Monitoring.
+ Proven experience in migrating serverless workloads from AWS Lambda to GCP Cloud Functions.
+ Strong understanding of payments infrastructure, transaction processing systems, and related security and compliance requirements.
+ Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD practices, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
+ Familiarity with real-time payment systems, fraud detection workflows, or digital wallets.
+ Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud strategies.
+ Experience leading Agile
